THE KITCHEN

of our restaurant "Sassi Neri" - chef Paolo Spano - get inspiration from the tradition Tuscany receips. We suggest youto try our “sfiziosi" aperitifs, whit a large range of selections of starters, and the classic appetizer on the chopping board to be served at the table. All "watered" by white wines, prosecchi or cocktails.

Our selected menu for the first courses: tortellacci mugellani, fagottini filled with ham and cheese, ravioli made with sepia, or stuffed with ricotta and spinach, or gnocchettini our artisan pasta (paccheri, taglioni with red wine, long fusilli, etc.) first to match Tuscan meat sauce, wild boar, duck, game, fish, vegetables or cheese.
Or the choice may fall on a delicate vegetarianrice.
For the second courses our kitchen offers you the following strong pieces: chopped steak of Chianina, or prawns with brandy, or fillet ofsea bream, or arrostino dell'aia, or roasted cinta pig, or a fillet with Lardo di Colonnata, accompanied by tasty side dishes.
The Desserts, more than the classics one, we can offer delicious home-made cakes with sparkling or desserts wine.
For wines we rely on classic Chianti, without neglecting the good house wine.

Inside the large and elegant entrance hall holds up to 120 guests. The restaurant dining room brightly lit holding up 70 guests. The characteristic cantina, which hosts up to 80 guests, is Jurnished in rustic style with stone walls and a fireplace.
